Cockroach in Scuba Suit: The Unlikely Hero for Future Disaster Rescues

Scientists are exploring the use of tiny cockroaches in scuba suits as potential rescue robots for disaster zones due to their ability to withstand extreme environments and navigate through tight spaces. The idea is based on research that has already shown cockroaches can survive underwater and in high-pressure situations, making them ideal candidates for such a mission. A team of researchers hopes to miniaturize this concept into a practical tool for search and rescue operations. The potential benefits include increased survivability and the ability to access areas inaccessible to humans.
