Iran-backed Houthis launch two missiles at Israel, creating a third front in the conflict ahead of planned talks between Tehran and Western nations.
Iran-backed Houthis open third front against Israel as Tehran seeks leverage ahead of talks, launching two missiles at the Jewish state on Saturday in a bid to create pressure before planned talks between Iran and its enemies. The attack marked a new escalation in the conflict, which has already seen Houthi rebels launch attacks in Yemen and other parts of the Middle East. Iranian officials are reportedly seeking to use this latest development to extract concessions from their rivals ahead of upcoming negotiations.
