Illegally Deported Immigrant Charged With Rape, Abduction In Northern Virginia, DHS Urges Compliance

A twice-deported illegal immigrant from El Salvador has been charged with rape and abduction in Northern Virginia, according to the Department of Homeland Security, who are now urging Fairfax County officials to honor an ICE detainer for the suspect. The suspect's previous deportations do not appear to have had a deterrent effect on their behavior. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is seeking local law enforcement cooperation to ensure the suspect is held in custody. If honored, the detainer would allow ICE to take custody of the suspect upon release from Fairfax County jail.
