Protest planned against trans athlete at California high school girls' track meet; the event is set to take place as part of the state's postseason.
A planned protest against a trans athlete competing in California's state playoff girls' track meet has sparked concern among officials and supporters of the athlete. The upcoming event will feature a trans athlete from Jurupa Valley High School, prompting organizers to hold a rally on Friday to show their support for the athlete. Those opposed to the athlete's participation argue that it would disrupt the competitive integrity of women's sports. The protest is set to take place outside the track meet venue on Friday.
